🍯 Honey Extraction and Moisture Control
A 3D radial honey extractor: uncap the frames, spin the basket and dial in moisture content to see when honey is safe to jar and when it risks fermenting.
A radial extractor spins uncapped frames so centrifugal force flings honey out of the comb and against the drum wall, where it drips into the sump — while a moisture reading decides whether that honey is safe to jar or bound to ferment.
🔬 What It Demonstrates
Uncapping opens the wax seal, spin speed drives centrifugal ejection, and moisture content controls how freely honey flows off the frame and down the drum — the three variables that determine extraction efficiency and shelf stability.
🎮 How to Use
Slide uncapping toward 100% to open the cells, spin the extractor up, and drag the moisture slider to see the beacon shift from green to amber to red as honey crosses the 18–20% safety band.
💡 Did You Know?
UK and EU honey regulations set a legal maximum of 20% moisture — above that, naturally occurring osmotolerant yeasts can multiply fast enough to ferment a sealed jar within weeks.
