A 3D hive cutaway lets you swap between frame, contact, rapid and entrance feeders, adjust syrup concentration and feed rate, and watch how enclosed or exposed the setup is to opportunistic robber bees.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

How feeder position and enclosure — inside the brood box versus at the open entrance — trade off feeding speed against robbing risk, and how syrup concentration and entrance gap width shift that balance.

🎮 How to Use

Pick a feeder type, set the syrup concentration and feed rate, and narrow or widen the entrance gap. Watch the syrup level drain, bees cluster at the feeder, and robber bees appear when risk climbs.

💡 Did You Know?

Entrance (Boardman) feeders are the easiest to top up without opening the hive, but because the syrup sits in full view at the flight path, they are the classic trigger for a robbing frenzy during a nectar dearth.
