♻️ Beeswax Recycling & Circular Apiary Waste Hub

A 3D circular-economy waste hub for a beekeeping operation: watch cappings, old comb, propolis scrapings and worn equipment sort into recycling streams versus landfill as you tune sorting quality, waste mix and throughput.

Four apiary waste streams — cappings, propolis scrapings, old comb and worn equipment — travel from their source crates to a central recycling core, splitting off to a landfill skip whenever contamination or poor sorting prevents recovery.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Each material has its own realistic recoverability ceiling; sorting quality determines how close the operation gets to that ceiling, and a circular-rerouting pathway shows how leftover slumgum can still be converted into firelighter revenue instead of landfill.

🎮 How to Use

Set weekly waste throughput and sorting quality, pick a seasonal waste mix, and toggle circular rerouting to see live totals for waste processed, landfill diversion rate and recovered revenue.

💡 Did You Know?

Even the dark, debris-laden slumgum left after wax rendering still contains enough combustible wax to be pressed into natural firelighters — a small step that helps a beekeeping operation send almost nothing to landfill.
