🐝 Beekeeping Online Community Lab
A 3D network model of a beekeeping Facebook group or forum: watch beginner questions travel to mentors, and see how mentor ratio, moderation strictness and a local-association bridge change whether newcomers get answered or drift away.
A 3D network of beginners, mentors, moderators and lurkers around a community hub, showing how mentor ratio, moderation strictness and a local-association bridge decide whether newcomer questions get answered.
🔬 What It Demonstrates
Beginner questions travel as pulses toward the hub and out to a mentor. Whether they're answered depends on the mentor-to-beginner ratio, spam load, and moderation delay — unanswered beginners dim and eventually leave the network.
🎮 How to Use
Adjust the question rate, mentor ratio and moderation strictness, and toggle the local association bridge. Watch the answered-rate, retained and drifted-away counters respond, then reset to rebuild the community from scratch.
💡 Did You Know?
Communities that pair newcomers with a visible layer of responsive mentors — and link back to real local groups — consistently retain far more first-time posters than groups where questions get buried in volume.
