🌍 My Solar System — Space Explorers

Explore your solar neighbourhood! Visit all 8 planets, zoom in on moons, and discover the incredible scale of space — if Earth were a marble, the Sun would be a basketball 26 metres away.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

All planets orbit the Sun under Newton's gravity. Kepler's third law (T² ∝ a³) means outer planets orbit more slowly — Neptune takes 165 Earth-years while Mercury takes only 88 days.

🎮 How to Use

Click any planet to zoom in and see its moons. Use the time-speed slider to accelerate orbital motion. Toggle between real scale (vast emptiness) and zoomed view (all planets visible at once).

💡 Did You Know?

Light takes 8 minutes to travel from the Sun to Earth. From the Sun to Neptune takes over 4 hours. The nearest star (Proxima Centauri) is so far that its light takes 4.24 years to reach us — travelling at 300,000 km/s.
