Corrections
A public log of factual corrections made to MySimulator.uk articles and simulations, and how we handle error reports.
1. Correction log
This page went live in July 2026. As soon as a reader-reported or internally-found factual error is fixed on a published page, it will be listed here with the date, the page affected, and a short description of what was wrong and what it was changed to.
For reference, once entries exist they will look like this:
| Date | Page | What was corrected |
|---|---|---|
| (example row — no real entries yet) | ||
2. How corrections are handled
When we're told about a factual error — a wrong formula, an outdated figure, a mislabelled unit, an incorrect claim — we verify it against a reference source (textbook, NIST/CODATA, Wikipedia, or a primary source where relevant) as described in our Editorial Policy. If the report is confirmed, we:
- Fix the page directly and update its visible "last updated" date and
dateModifiedmetadata. - Add a row to the log in Section 1, with the date, the affected page, and a short description of the error and the fix.
- Reply to whoever reported it (if contact details were given) to confirm the fix.
Minor copy edits, typo fixes, and formatting changes are not logged here — this page tracks corrections to factual claims (numbers, formulas, definitions, attributions), not wording polish. Notable feature and content changes at the site level are also tracked in the changelog.
3. What counts as a correction
Not logged here: spelling/grammar fixes, broken links, layout or accessibility bugs, adding new content (new sections, new simulations), or updates that reflect newer data without the old data having been "wrong" at the time (e.g. revising a statistic to a newer year).
4. Report an error
If you spot a factual mistake on any page — a simulation, an article, a glossary entry — please tell us which page and what you believe is wrong, ideally with a source. We read every report.
