Superficial vein / valve
Incompetent valve / reflux
Compression stocking
Interstitial edema
This 2D companion models the real clinical concept behind the 3D version — ambulatory venous pressure (AVP) — as a driven system: a hydrostatic-column pressure ceiling, a calf-muscle-pump ejection that only "sticks" in proportion to valve competence, continuous reflux refill through incompetent valves, and a graduated compression-stocking counter-pressure that both lowers the ceiling and augments the pump. Four sliders — valve competence, cadence, standing time and compression grade — drive a leg cross-section with animated valves and a live pressure-vs-time strip chart, so the difference between a healthy leg's fast pressure drop on walking and a CVI leg's stalled, chronically elevated AVP is directly visible rather than implied.
