Torch Flame
A flickering torch flame with rising embers, modeling how buoyant hot gas from combustion churns turbulently upward while cooling and dimming from white-hot to deep red. Two GPU point-sprite layers are simulated: a dense flame-core layer whose particles rise with layered sine-noise turbulence, shrink, and shift color along a hot-white to orange to red gradient over their lifetime, and a sparser ember layer that rises higher and fades more slowly. A flickering point light (multi-frequency sine plus randomness) drives dynamic illumination on the wood pile and ground.
