Diesel Cycle: Compression-Ignition Engine Simulator

A real-time 3D model of the air-standard Diesel cycle — the thermodynamic cycle behind every compression-ignition engine, from generator sets to ships. A piston, connecting rod and crankshaft turn through isentropic compression, constant-pressure fuel injection and isentropic expansion, exactly tracking the P1V1^γ = P2V2^γ relations that govern each stroke. Adjust the compression ratio and cutoff (fuel-injection) ratio and watch thermal efficiency, peak cylinder pressure and peak temperature update live alongside a synchronized P–V diagram, so the trade-off between more injected fuel (more power) and lower efficiency is visible stroke by stroke rather than just stated as a formula.
