Coal Stockpile Self-Heating & Thermal Runaway (2D)

This 2D companion strips the pile down to a cross-section heatmap driven by the same coupled physics as the 3D scene: an Arrhenius heat-generation term at every grid cell competes against 2D conductive diffusion through the coal and convective cooling at the exposed surface. A live history graph tracks the hottest cell in the pile against a marked ignition threshold, so raising pile height, ambient temperature or coal reactivity — or cutting ventilation — visibly tips the same equations from a stable warm steady state into an accelerating thermal runaway, the real mechanism behind stockpile spontaneous-combustion incidents.
