Biofoundry Validation Plate: Z′-Factor Assay QC Simulator 2D

Automated biofoundries live or die on whether their screening plates can be trusted, and the industry-standard test is the Z′-factor computed from a plate's own positive and negative control wells. This 2D companion to the 3D microplate simulator renders the identical 96- or 384-well grid, generated by the same simulated automated liquid-handling run, on a draggable, zoomable top-down map instead of an orbitable 3D scene. Dial in well-to-well noise, the raw signal window between controls, and edge-well evaporation drift — a well-known real artifact in high-throughput screening — and watch the Z′-factor, plate CV and edge-vs-center Δ recompute live from the resulting control statistics. Out-of-band wells are flagged automatically using the same 3σ gating rule real biofoundry QC pipelines use before releasing plate data, and hovering any well shows its row, column, kind and raw signal.
