A genuine 3D cross-country skiing physics model over a real hilly course, replacing the stub 2D placeholder this simulation used to be. Instead of a flat canvas with a "coming soon" message, the skier now moves along an actual slope profile driven by gravity, glide friction (set by wax quality), aerodynamic drag (set by technique), and a metabolic fatigue reservoir that caps kick power as the race goes on. Three techniques — classic diagonal stride, skate skiing and double poling — trade off peak propulsive force, drag and energy efficiency exactly as they do on snow, so pacing choices on the hillier stretches of the course actually matter.
