Asteroid Mining Drone

A drone orbits an asteroid, drilling for glowing ore.

The asteroid is a displaced icosahedron: its vertices are pushed outward by a layered sine/cosine "bump" function plus random jitter, then normals are recomputed for flat-shaded faceting. A drone follows a circular orbit path with a vertical sine bob, periodically firing a curved quadratic-lerp beam of glowing ore particles (drawn as a single THREE.Points buffer) from a rotating drill point on the surface to its collection container.
