Deflecting a hazardous asteroid with a kinetic impactor is not just about how hard you hit it — the ejecta plume kicked up by the collision adds extra momentum beyond the impactor's own, captured by the enhancement factor β that NASA's DART mission measured directly at Dimorphos in 2022 (β ≈ 3.6). This simulator lets you fire a 3D impactor into a target asteroid, tune its mass, closing velocity and β, and watch the resulting Δv propagate into a real B-plane miss-distance shift at Earth encounter — scaled by how much warning time the deflection had to work with. Live readouts track the delivered Δv, the momentum transferred, and whether the resulting shift clears a safe miss distance.
