How this 2D companion differs from the 3D one

Same physical model as the 3D planner, verified independently (standalone Node script, not shipped): sound pressure level falls off from a point source by spherical spreading, and drops again by a fixed amount every time it crosses a partition:

SPL(r) = Lp0 − 20·log10(r / r0) − ΣTL(x)

Lp0 = source level at r0 = 1 m
ΣTL(x) = sum of transmission losses of every
         wall crossed between the source and
         position x along the corridor

Numeric check: for Lp0=72 dB, doubling distance from 1 m to 2 m drops the level by 20·log10(2) = 6.02 dB exactly, matching the closed-form spherical-spreading law; the 3D sim's formula reproduces this to floating-point precision, so no correction was needed here — this companion reuses the identical, verified formula.

What's genuinely different is the view: instead of three discrete stat boxes, this 2D corridor plots a continuous SPL(x) curve for every point along the corridor — not just at the pod — so you can see the smooth −20·log10(r) spreading curve and the instantaneous step-drop at each partition in one picture, and see at a glance how moving the pod before or after a wall changes which side of the 50 dB line it lands on.
