This 2D simulator renders a spiderweb from directly above with a working condensation model underneath: humidity and air-temperature sliders set the real dew point via the Magnus formula, while a radiative-cooling slider sets how much colder the web has become than the surrounding air by radiating heat at the clear night sky, the same mechanic behind the site's 3D macro web scene. Whenever the web's temperature sits below the dew point, droplets nucleate at fixed points along the silk and grow in proportion to that gap, held spherical by surface tension until they get too heavy for the thread and drip off; raise the air temperature or lower the humidity enough and existing droplets evaporate instead. Live readouts track the dew point, the web's temperature, the number of active droplets, and the current condensation rate. Use Spin new web to generate a fresh web layout.
