Wind Chimes

Metal tube chimes swaying in a gusty simulated breeze, softly chiming when they drift close together. A layered pseudo-noise function (three summed sine waves at different frequencies per axis) drives a spring-damper torque model for each of the 8 tapered cylinder chimes, so every tube swings with its own phase offset for natural-looking variance. Adjacent chime tips are checked each frame with a simple distance test; when two tips pass within 0.55 units they flash an emissive glow to simulate a soft chime strike. A central wind-catcher disc and clapper hang from the ring using the same spring physics, and the metal tube material uses a high-metalness, low-roughness PBR finish under ACES tone mapping for a warm brushed-metal look.
