Guitar String Pluck

A warm wood-toned acoustic guitar plucks its strings in turn. Each string is a line of points that gets displaced sideways on a pluck, then relaxes as a damped harmonic oscillation: a sine wave shaped along the string length whose amplitude decays exponentially until it settles. Lower strings vibrate slower than higher strings, and tighter tension raises the vibration frequency.
