This 2D simulator drives two independent tuning forks near the standard 440 Hz concert-pitch reference and plots their waveforms on a live oscilloscope. Drag the frequency sliders apart and watch the summed waveform (bottom trace) develop a slow, pulsing envelope — the classic acoustic beat phenomenon that occurs whenever two tones of nearly equal frequency are heard together. The live readout tracks the beat frequency |f1−f2| and its period exactly as an oscilloscope or a piano tuner's ear would measure it, and an optional WebAudio toggle lets you actually hear the beats forming as you adjust the sliders.
