How it works

Each generation is one ring of the tree. Nodes in a ring are the viewers freshly exposed that round; the frustum connecting one ring to the next widens when the round-over-round multiplier R0 is above 1, and narrows when it's below 1 — the tree's silhouette is the cascade's growth rate, generation by generation.

Widening trunk (green) — R0 > 1, the cascade is compounding: each ring reaches more people than the last.
Narrowing trunk (red) — R0 < 1, the cascade is losing steam and will taper to nothing.
Algorithmic boost off forces every ring to grow by the same fixed p·k multiplier — a uniform cone, since there's no feedback from accumulated engagement.
The tree resets and a fresh post starts once a cascade fully dies out or saturates the reachable population, so you can compare runs back to back.
