Three Pillars 2D: A Sustainable Development Stock-Flow Dashboard

Sustainable development is a systems-thinking problem, not three separate scorecards: environmental health, social equity and economic viability rise and fall together through feedback loops. This 2D dashboard renders the three pillars as fillable tanks arranged in a pannable, zoomable diagram, linked by animated flow particles — resource extraction flowing from the economy into the environment, circular-economy recovery flowing back, and social investment flowing from the economy into equity — driven by the same coupled logistic stock-flow model as the 3D version, plus a live trend chart of all three stocks and the Genuine Progress Indicator over simulated time. Tune extraction, circularity and social-investment rate and watch a purely GDP-maximising strategy quietly erode the other two pillars, exactly the divergence between GDP and GPI that the article describes.
