Social force model (Helbing–Molnár), 2D top-down: each pedestrian is driven toward its goal by (v⁰ê − v)/τ and repelled from neighbours and walls by an exponential force A·exp((r−d)/B). Corridor: opposite streams self-organise into lanes. Bottleneck: raise v⁰ to see arch jams form at the door. Crossing: two perpendicular streams weave past each other without a signal.
