Opinion Dynamics (2D): Deffuant Bounded-Confidence Model

This 2D companion runs the identical Deffuant bounded-confidence update as the 3D version on a plain canvas: two random agents interact and shift toward each other only when their opinions already differ by less than the confidence threshold ε, by a fraction μ of that difference. A scatter view plots every agent as a coloured dot with faint links between agents currently close enough to influence one another, a timeline view traces each agent's opinion over iterations, and a live histogram shows the opinion distribution — so you can watch a population collapse into consensus, split into a few stable clusters, or fragment into isolated echo chambers purely as a function of ε, μ and the media-bias nudge.
