Wind-Aware Drone Return-to-Home Simulator

A multirotor drone flies outbound from its home pad, burning battery as it goes. The physical distance it has to cover on the way back is the same either way — but the battery cost is not, because a headwind on the return leg forces the rotors to work far harder than a tailwind-assisted outbound leg ever did. This simulator compares a naive return-to-home rule that only watches a fixed battery percentage against a smart rule that continuously recomputes the real energy cost of getting home under the current wind, so you can watch one strategy strand a drone short of the pad while the other brings it back with charge to spare.
