Parts ride a conveyor past a photoelectric sensor, and a pneumatic diverter downstream has to fire inside a narrow timing window to push each one off the line — the classic sense-schedule-actuate sequence behind real sorting and pick-reject stations. This simulator renders the belt, sensor beam and diverter in real 3D and drives them from an actual discrete-event schedule: every part's sensor-trigger time, travel time to the actuator and the actuator's own delay and dwell are tracked explicitly, so a mistimed setting causes a genuine miss you can watch happen. Tune belt speed, actuator response delay, pusher dwell time and part spawn rate, and read live throughput and sort-accuracy off the same numbers a line engineer would tune against.
