Augmented reality navigation overlays directional cues onto the real world by combining GPS positioning with inertial sensor data. This simulator visualizes a pedestrian walking a waypoint loop through a small city block while three position estimates are tracked side by side: the ground truth, a raw GPS fix that only updates about once a second and scatters within its accuracy radius, and a sensor-fused estimate that dead-reckons with a drifting IMU between fixes and snaps back toward each new GPS reading. Toggle sensor fusion off to see why AR navigation needs it — without it, the "you are here" marker jumps and lags exactly like plain GPS does on a phone with no fusion.
