How it works

A localized weather phenomenon — a storm cell, shown as the glowing orange circle — forms at a random position and altitude. This 2D side view tests whether a sampling method's coverage actually intersects it.

🎈 Single balloon rises from one fixed ground station along one thin vertical (slightly drifting) line, sampling only points on that line.
🚁 Drone swarm reveals a dense grid of sample points across the whole cross-section at once — one of them is very likely to land inside the phenomenon.
Grid density and rise speed are adjustable; "New Phenomenon" randomizes position/size and the tally keeps score across trials.
