Quantum Tunneling: Fluctuating Barrier Wave-Packet Lab (2D)

This 2D companion drives a real 1D time-dependent Schrodinger equation solver instead of orbiting a decorative 3D scene: a Gaussian wave packet is launched at a rectangular potential barrier and evolved with the Visscher leapfrog finite-difference method, so the probability density genuinely tunnels through (or reflects off) the barrier frame by frame. A side panel exposes the barrier height, width and particle energy, plus the 3D original's signature barrier-fluctuation toggle — turn it on to watch the measured transmission probability drift away from the static analytic prediction as the barrier's effective height jitters over time.
