Each particle lands at a random screen position drawn from the Born-rule probability |psi|^2 built by superposing waves from every slit (coherent sum). Lowering coherence mimics a which-path detector: probabilities add instead of amplitudes and the fringes wash out. Fringe spacing = lambda L / d. Geometry is scaled up for display.
