This simulator renders the Rokhsar–Kivelson quantum dimer model, the standard toy model for a resonating-valence-bond quantum spin liquid. A square lattice of spins is covered by valence-bond dimers; flippable 2×2 plaquettes resonate between their two dimer patterns at a rate you control, and a potential-bias slider pushes the system between a fluctuating liquid with no static order and a frozen columnar crystal. Break a bond to release a spinon pair and watch the fractional excitations hop apart with no confining string, the signature of spin-liquid deconfinement.
