Double Quantum Dot Charge Stability Diagram

This simulator renders the charge-stability ("honeycomb") diagram of a gate-defined double quantum dot in 3D. Two gate voltages sweep the electrostatic energy of every integer electron occupation (N₁,N₂); the ground state at each point forms the familiar honeycomb of Coulomb-blockade cells, while interdot tunnel coupling tc hybridizes the nearly-degenerate charge states along each cell boundary into a resonant tunneling current, rendered as a glowing ridge that rounds and broadens the honeycomb's triple points exactly as it does in real transport measurements. Tune tc, the mutual and single-dot charging energies, and thermal broadening, then follow the sweeping probe to read live (N₁,N₂) occupation, interdot energy detuning and tunneling current.
