Dispersion-Cancelled Quantum OCT

This simulator renders a Hong-Ou-Mandel style quantum-optical coherence tomography (QOCT) rig in 3D: a down-conversion crystal emits frequency-anticorrelated photon pairs, one probing a layered tissue sample and the other bouncing off a scannable reference mirror, recombining on a beamsplitter before two coincidence-counting detectors. Drag the mirror delay to sweep the interferogram and watch the coincidence rate dip; raise the tissue's group-delay dispersion and compare how the quantum coincidence dip stays essentially unchanged in width while a classical (unentangled) interferogram broadens and loses contrast — the real dispersion-cancellation advantage entangled photon pairs bring to depth-resolved biomedical imaging.
