Singlet Fission Solar Cell — Triplet Pair Generation

This simulator runs a stochastic kinetic model of singlet fission across a lattice of organic chromophore sites: photons create singlet excitons, singlets convert to spin-correlated triplet pairs at a rate set by the energetic driving force and film temperature, and separated triplets random-walk to a bottom electrode where they are extracted as charge. Because each singlet can ultimately yield two triplets — and each triplet one extractable carrier — the external quantum efficiency readout can climb past 100%, the signature that distinguishes singlet fission from an ordinary one-photon-one-electron absorber.
