Axion Haloscope: Dark Matter Resonant Cavity Search

This simulator models an axion haloscope experiment in the style of ADMX: a resonant microwave cavity sitting inside a powerful superconducting magnet, tuned by moving a dielectric rod, searching for the faint photon signal predicted if dark-matter axions convert via the inverse Primakoff effect. Sliders for magnet field, rod position and loaded quality factor drive a real 3D render of the cavity's TM₀₁₀ Bessel-profile field, while live readouts convert the current resonant frequency into an equivalent axion mass, compute the expected signal power from the standard haloscope formula, and estimate signal-to-noise against the thermal noise floor. Start a scan to sweep the tuning rod automatically and watch the spectrum plot for the narrow excess that marks a candidate detection.
