NV-Center Diamond Quantum Biosensor

This simulator models a nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center in diamond — a single-atom quantum sensor at the heart of a real medical technology. A green pump laser continuously excites the defect while a microwave field sweeps across its 2.87 GHz spin resonance; every frequency where the microwaves match the spin transition shows up as a dip in the red fluorescence, live on the ODMR spectrum plot below the 3D view. Apply an external magnetic field and watch the single dip split into two — the Zeeman effect — then read the field strength straight back out of the splitting, exactly as a diamond quantum magnetometer does when it detects magnetically-tagged biomarkers or the faint fields of firing neurons.
