Liquid Xenon Dark Matter Detector

This simulator models the working principle of a dual-phase liquid xenon time projection chamber — the instrument class behind the world's leading direct dark-matter searches. Fire a simulated particle interaction, choose whether it behaves like a WIMP nuclear recoil or an ordinary electron-recoil background, and watch the prompt S1 scintillation flash and the drifting, gas-amplified S2 ionization signal form in 3D exactly as they would in a real detector. Live readouts track the S1 and S2 photoelectron yields, the log₁₀(S2/S1) discrimination ratio, and the depth reconstructed purely from drift timing, while an accumulating S2/S1 scatter plot reveals the nuclear-recoil and electron-recoil bands that real experiments use to reject the gamma/beta background that vastly outnumbers any dark-matter signal.
