Sparticle Cascade Decay & Missing Transverse Energy (2D)

This simulator recreates, as a flat top-down collider event display, the core signature LHC experiments use to hunt for supersymmetry: a gluino–squark pair is produced back-to-back in the transverse plane, then each sparticle cascades down through real, energy-momentum-conserving two-body decays until it reaches the neutralino — the lightest supersymmetric particle, stable and invisible under R-parity conservation. Every quark jet you see is drawn from an actual boosted 2D momentum computed with the relativistic two-body decay formula and Lorentz boost, not a canned animation. Because the neutralino escapes without depositing energy, the visible jets alone fail to balance — the missing transverse energy (MET) vector you see is exactly that imbalance, verified live against the hidden neutralino momentum, the same quantity ATLAS and CMS scan for as evidence of escaping dark-matter candidates.
