This 2D companion to the quantum-illumination target-detection simulator keeps the same real hypothesis-testing model — entangled signal/idler pulses probing a weak target buried in thermal noise, compared against classical coherent-state illumination via the Chernoff-bound error exponent — but renders it as native 2D data visualizations instead of a 3D particle scene. A gain heatmap over signal brightness and background noise, log-scale error-probability decay curves against the integration window, and live independently-computed Monte Carlo receiver traces replace the flying-photon animation, making the underlying (NS, NB)-dependence and the exponential M-scaling directly visible rather than dramatized.
