Quantum Dot Phase Wheel — 2D g²(τ) Correlator

This is the 2D counterpart to the 3D Hanbury Brown–Twiss beam-table simulator: the same pulsed-excitation, re-excitation and background-count physics, but rendered natively for a flat canvas instead of a camera flying over an optics bench. A polar phase wheel wraps every detector click onto its arrival phase within the laser's pulse period, with click age encoded as spiraling radius, so an ideal single-photon source draws two clean, barely-overlapping detector arcs while re-excitation and dark counts visibly scatter dots across all phases. A live g²(τ) bar histogram and a running purity sparkline sit alongside it, turning the same click statistics into the numeric g²(0) estimate reported in real quantum-optics measurements. Drag the wheel to rotate your view and scroll to rescale its history depth — a 2D equivalent of orbiting a 3D scene.
