Mach-Zehnder Modulator: Phasor & Transfer-Function Diagram

This is a 2D field/phase-space-native counterpart to the 3D photonic-chip Mach-Zehnder modulator. Rather than orbiting a rendered waveguide chip, each arm's optical field is drawn as a unit phasor rotating on the complex plane exactly as fast as the applied electro-optic phase shift dictates; their live vector sum and difference are the bar- and cross-port fields, and the squared length of each resultant is the exact same cos²(Δφ/2) transfer function the physical device obeys. A scrolling strip chart tracks the drive voltage and both output powers over time, and a static transfer-function curve shows exactly where the current operating point sits on the interferometer's characteristic response. Tune bias, drive swing and topology to see the identical physics play out in a purely 2D, mathematically-native representation.
