Experiments

1. How long will my load set last? Battery only: the formula against a 10-second time-stepped run from 100 % to cut-off.

2. Can I get through 72 hours with the sources set above?

3. Generator strategy. Run all day, or only to recharge the battery?

Numerical checks

Safety first

Follow local authority and civil-protection guidance. Carbon monoxide (CO, [чадний газ]) is invisible and odourless.

Run a generator only outdoors, well away from doors, windows and vents (6 m or more), never indoors, in a garage, cellar or on a balcony.
Keep a working CO alarm [датчик чадного газу] in the home. Never heat a room with a gas cooker or a barbecue.
Never plug a generator into a wall socket. Back-feeding the grid endangers line workers; use a transfer switch fitted by an electrician.
Let the engine cool before refuelling; store fuel outdoors in approved containers.
Keep the battery station dry, ventilated and between 0 and 40 degrees C when charging.
If someone relies on medical equipment, agree a backup plan with the doctor or provider in advance.
