Laser Fusion Ignition: Inertial Confinement (2D)

This is the 2D cross-section counterpart to the 3D inertial confinement fusion simulator: the same real ablative rocket-effect implosion, adiabatic PdV compression and Lawson-criterion ignition check, but computed with an explicit time-stepped integrator you can inspect frame by frame. Tune the laser energy, beam count, capsule radius and ice-shell thickness, then fire a shot — the engine numerically integrates the ablation-driven acceleration, the resulting Rayleigh–Taylor instability growth on the ablation front, the adiabatic compression of the DT fuel core, and reports whether the compressed core's density, confinement time and temperature together clear the ignition threshold.
