This is the 2D cross-section counterpart to the 3D duct version: the same nested-barrier containment canister, drawn from directly above as concentric rings around a "contaminated core." Each ring is an independent barrier layer with its own user-set failure (leak-through) probability, and the panel on the left lets you add or remove layers freely. The overall breach probability is always the live-recomputed product of every layer's individual probability — the real series-reliability model used to certify planetary-protection hardware — and a dedicated Monte Carlo panel runs thousands of simulated missions instantly to empirically confirm that the observed breach frequency converges on that theoretical product.
