Interference in Soap Bubbles
▾Light partially reflects from both the outer and inner surfaces of a thin soap film. These two reflected rays interfere — reinforcing or canceling certain wavelengths depending on the thickness of the film and the angle of view, which produces colorful iridescent reflections on the bubble surface.
