The Prime Number Mystery
In 1963, Stanisław Ulam sketched a spiral of numbers to pass the time during a boring lecture.
He noticed that prime numbers line up along diagonals. This means certain quadratic polynomials
(like 4x² + bx + c) generate primes far more often than others.
Hypothesis F:
Hardy and Littlewood predicted that the density of primes along certain lines is asymptotically higher. This
visualization demonstrates exactly that.
