A simulation of gravitational interaction between many bodies
The N-body problem is one of the hardest problems in celestial mechanics. For 3+ bodies there is no general analytical solution!
We use numerical methods to simulate the motion.
Every body attracts every other body with a force proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
๐ Binary system: Two bodies orbiting a common center of mass
๐ Trojans: Stable Lagrange points L4, L5
๐ซ Chaotic orbits: Three bodies can produce unpredictable trajectories
๐ฐ๏ธ Space missions: Trajectory calculation
๐ Galaxies: Collision modeling
โญ Star clusters: Evolution of systems
๐ฎ Games: Realistic space physics
