This toy model visualises a proposed mechanism from braneworld physics: two adjacent higher-dimensional surfaces weakly exchanging energy through a coupling field.
coupling_flux ~ coupling_strength / separation^2 (toy model)
- Path curvature — how strongly the traveler's path bends between the two reference planes.
- Traversal speed — how fast the traveler moves along its coupled path.
- Coupling strength — how strongly the two planes exchange energy/particles — the core tunable of the toy model.
- Particle decay rate — how quickly a coupled particle fades once it crosses over.
Braneworld models in theoretical physics propose exactly this kind of weak coupling between adjacent higher-dimensional membranes, invisible except through gravity or rare leakage.
