A tapered mineral chimney vents a turbulent plume of buoyant smoke particles that rise, drift on sinusoidal turbulence, expand outward, and age out before respawning at the vent mouth. Bioluminescent point lights flicker around the vent field while exponential fog thickens with distance to sell the deep-ocean murk.
