Beating Heart
A stylized 3D heart with pulsing chambers and blood particles flowing through the great vessels in rhythm. The double "lub-dub" contraction is modeled as two overlapping Gaussian pulses per cardiac cycle, deforming the mesh's vertex positions to simulate systole and diastole while particles accelerate through the vessels during each beat.
- Heart mesh extruded from a 2D bezier heart curve
- Default rhythm: 72 BPM with lub-dub double-pulse waveform
- 3 great vessels (aorta, vena cava, pulmonary) as spline tubes
- 300 blood particles, oxygenated (red) vs deoxygenated (blue)
