The glowing cloud is a 3D grid of sample points colored and sized by total EM field strength — the same superposition as a real site survey, just made visible. Each source obeys its real falloff law:
line source (power line): E ∝ 1 / r
point source (tower, engine): E ∝ 1 / r²
total at any point: E = Σ Eᵢ(r)
- Power line — an infinite-line approximation, so it falls off as 1/r from the wire — its glow reaches much farther than a point source of similar strength.
- Cell tower — a point transmitter on its mast; inverse-square, so the glow collapses fast once you're a few meters from the antenna.
- Vehicle — ignition/alternator noise, also inverse-square and short-range, easy to mistake for something exotic if you don't clock the parked car.
With "Fly probe" on, drag inside the 3D view to steer the glowing probe sphere through the volume (camera orbit is disabled while dragging); switch it off to orbit the scene freely instead. Watch the dominant-source readout lock onto whichever object you approach — a real anomaly hunts the nearest mundane emitter, it never reads uniformly from every direction.
